The Writing Center

I went to the writing center to help me with my research paper. I ended up helping me a lot. I was always scared to go in there. It was very intimidating. I ended up getting all the help that I needed. At first, we introduced each other. Then she asked me  what this paper was and what it was about. She then asked me to either read the paper out loud or have her read it out loud. So, I read it out loud. While I was reading it out loud we stopped at all of the problems that I had. There was quite a bit. We then fixed them with some of my ideas and some of her ideas. After, we went literally line by line and read it aloud. We fixed all of the the grammar errors. I then asked her questions that I wasn't sure of. She gave me some tips and pointers to add to my paper. For example, she said if you use a quote that is more than 40 words you need to make it it's own paragraph and single space it. From there on, you finish the sentence explaining it. Honestly, the writing center was so helpful. I am kinda upset that I didn't use it for my first paper. For the revision, I will be taking my paper to them. It' such a great source and they can help me with any type of paper that I need help with!
